Rast Hotel Sultanahmet

The location of Rast Hotel is brilliant with an exceptional view of the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia from the rooftop. The hotel is just few minutes of walk away from all the attractions (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, the Grand Bazar). The hotel has an excellent service of pick up and drop off to the airport at reasonable cost. The communication with the hotel is easy and clear before arrival. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Gokhan Kisa. The breakfast at the rooftop restaurant is amazing with so many choices and the ladies there are very nice. Rast hotel is so generous to provide free coffee and tea at the rooftop around the clock. There are a lot of other restaurants in the vicinity for lunches and dinners.

The customer service was on another level. Nothing was ever an issue - the staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help, whether it was something small such as giving us extra bottled water or big, such as making sure we had our favourite meals at breakfast. The manager, Hamza, introduced himself to me on the first day and stayed in contact throughout our stay. He made sure that our stay exceeded expectations and was extremely kind and thoughtful.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The hotel is always spotlessly clean, and the rooftop is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy. The staff were exceptionally professional, kind, and humble. Special thanks to Bayram Bey and Gökhan Bey at the reception, as well as the night shift team (2 super professional gentlemen). Also big thanks to Güler Hanım and Güneş Hanım at the rooftop restaurant, the entire kitchen team, and the hotel manager Hamza Bey, who made our stay truly memorable. Their warm hospitality and genuine care for me and my family made us feel at home. I have been coming here since 2019, and I will always come back and recommend this hotel to my friends and family! :) (thanks Gökhan for the great photos! You are an excellent photographer!)

Thank you for a fantastic stay in Istanbul and this hotel. The hotel is one of the best we have ever been to and it is a credit to the staff who make the stay pleasant for the guests. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, they will offer an umbrella or raincoat in the rain, organize free time, order a cab, give you a cookie or give you a gift on departure. The rooms are very clean and the hotel itself is located in a good spot and is everywhere close to the main attractions of the city. There is a restaurant on the terrace, where they serve tasty breakfasts with a beautiful view of the city. Even before our arrival, the manager of the hotel contacted us and left a bearing on himself that we could contact him directly in case of need and help. The entire hotel staff is wonderful and we especially want to single out Mr. Bayram and Mr. Gokhan and the manager Mr. Hamza. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

Location. Location. Location. Fabulous location in the heart of the old city. Easy walking distance to the major attractions in old Sultanahmet. Additionally tram stop out front less than 100 metres away to take you to Galata tower and shopping precinct. Oh, and breakfast in rooftop terrace with possibly best view in Istanbul!! Istanbul was never really on my radar but it was fabulous and I've already sold it to others for them to visit and savour!
